I dressed up as a pirate at the Living Peace Series earlier this week.

I thought rather than just hobbling in on crutches (after my recent skiing accident) for my speech at the University of California, Irvine, it would be more fun to turn up as Long John Silver!

Although the evening was about a very serious matter, peace and reconciliation, I think that it is important to make people smile and not take yourself too seriously.

The discussion was all about how business can be a force for good and the work of Virgin Unite.

Hopefully people had a good laugh and we also managed to cover some important subjects at the same time.
